A Dark 'n Stormy Keeps You Warmy

Rats, it's raining out. Wait, that's great because now we can stay in and drink the appropriately moniker'd beverage the Dark 'n Stormy. 

Get out your tools: dark rum, ginger beer (not ginger ale) and a lime. Optional: brown sugar.

Ice first. Then a liberal shot of rum. Then ginger beer to 3/4. 

Squeeze that lime to death then give it a stir. Or drop in your brown sugar first if you're a pussy. Take a sip. If it bites you, bite it back and replace your sip with more rum. Congratulations. Now you're a pirate. 

Savor it. Look into your glass and think about the North Star and the snap of your sails and your bonnie lass.
